What was once known as a traditional workforce and workplace now includes outsource coding services and agency coders working remotely. For those who adapt and embrace the practice of lifelong learning, these changes create opportunities for coders in both traditional and non-traditional work settings. While code training is available from many sources, not all code training prepares those seeking to code in the home care setting. Coding in home care is different and more challenging...where a professional coder is required to know much more than coding! If your goal is to become a professional home health and/or hospice coder we invite you to become part of the CodeProU family of learners.

A common question from many individuals is "How do I get started and what do I need to know?" Many also ask "What does a (home health/hospice) coder do...besides code?"
To address these questions and more Lisa Selman-Holman, the founder of CodeProU, has recorded two (2) presentations titled...

  • So, you want to be...a coder! and
  • Introduction to ICD-10-CM for New Coders and Coders New to Homecare.

Join Lisa Selman-Holman as she shares her practical advice and direction for those who want to be a homecare coder. Access is FREE. Access these presentations by clicking this INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATIONS link.
