Viewers of this program receive an overview of G Codes & Services Provided and how G codes impact clinical operations and billing. This program includes how to choose the proper G code to select for management and evaluation, observation and assessment, teaching and training and therapy. Selecting the proper G code is only part of the task; Lisa also explains the nursing action and the necessary documentation required by the nurse to assure reimbursement for each of the covered services.

Program Goal:To provide the viewer with an overview of G codes and how they impact clinical and billing operations.

About the Presenter: Lisa Selman-Holman, JD, BSN, RN, HCS-D, COS-C is a 23 year veteran of home care with experience as a field nurse, director and executive with home and hospice agencies. Soon after graduating from University of Houston with her law degree she took a position as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Texas Association for Home Care where she advocated for home care agencies and acted as a regulatory resource. She has been involved in accreditation surveys, acquisitions and many regulatory crises with state survey agencies and the intermediary, including termination proceedings and investigations. Lisa has extensive experience in legal and risk management, development of policies, survey compliance, appeals of Medicare denials, writing Corrective Action Plans, and start-ups of parent and branch agencies. Lisa has established her own home care consulting company, Selman-Holman & Associates, LLC, and her professional home care coding company, CoDR Coding Done Right.
